That would be awesome.  That's the kind of town I'd want to live in.  I'd be the resident Anglican Equalizer.

I'd want to live I that village fromHot Fuzz. I'd slash prices.

That movie disappointed me.  But for some reason I liked it the second and third times I watched it.

Shaun of the Dead is a slice of fried gold.

I'm slashing grammar this morning apparently as well.

I've never given Hot Fuzz another try after my initial disappointment. -_-

Well the wife and then her mom wanted to watch it, otherwise I might not've either.  I think I paid all of $1.99 for it on HD-DVD :D

Don't get the Hot Fuzz hate.  I thought it was wickedly funny on more levels than Shaun.

Maybe it's a cop thing, I dunno.

garbon

I didn't hate it - just didn't find it funny.

I think I enjoyed the earlier bits the most - where it's about a very "by the book" cop doing things a real cop would actually do, and everyone's reactions to that.

But it may be a prosecutor thing.

Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

Razgovory

I thought it was hilarious.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I wrote another sonnet today, elegy for a sunken city

Quote
As she slowly sinks into the sea
half-immersed in an earlier time
gondolas glide under st. mark's chimes
like traitors, giving tourists guides
to vaunted Venezia's sacred sights
assailed by the Adriatic's tides
declaring canals reflect dimming lights
what paean to Padania's past
will wake her from this fitful rest?
her glories were great, her grandeur vast
who else in Europe was so truly blessed
save for Florence and its savants,
those fellow remnants of the Rennaisance
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

The Brain

I didn't write a sonnet today.

The Larch

Hot Fuzz was worthy just for Timothy Dalton alone.
