Every time that World of Warcraft commercial with the Panda Bears show up on my TV, I want to punch a nerd in the balls.
Someone at Blizzard really liked Kung-Fu Panda.  It's like some kind of joke.

I'm really, really, really trying to fight the urge to download it.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Anyone else playing SongPop on Facebook/iOS/Android?  I've been playing for a week now against my brother, wife & in-laws and am pretty much addicted to it

Dunno how long it's been out, but it's a simple, well-designed game that works great across different platforms.

So I assume that image is supposed to show us that whatever happened in 2008 was not related to the steady growth of processing power. Wouldn't it be more interesting to show why DNA sequencing made that quantum leap cost-wise instead of showing us what wasn't the cause?

It's because I allowed them to use part of my immense intelligence to solve some of the thornier problems; hence you may have noticed a decline in the quality of my posts since 2008.

They founded massive DNA deposits in Oklahoma in 2005 and in 2008 the drilling and refining operation went online.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
