Dammit, I was just about to post QWOP.

I've finished it by spreading my legs and flailing, and could get a semi-normal stride going for up to 20 meters.

14 meters now.  Just get the timing down using P+Q followed by O+W for the steps.  To get him going hit O a couple of times to make him start falling forward.
