I overheard a conversation between a Spaniard and some Canadians last night. He said that he thought Canadians were the most nationalist people he'd met. They bristled and said 'Americans!' Most Americans you meet travelling are really enthusiastic and often young, so it's the first chance they get to go out and get drunk. So they're always up for a night out and really go for it. Also whenever you travel there are lots of Aussies, so no one really finds the Americans that loud and obnoxious.
