All the Tom Tomorrow strips are like that.  I'm not really sure why they continue to be made.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. It seems that staging rollercoaster photos has become a minor meme. In this case, they went to ride the "Raging Bull". You do the math (though they seem to crossbreed it with Rocky IV).
