Does anyone truly win, when a man is stripped of his liberty? :uffda:

Ide is a socialist in South Carolina, I think he's better off sticking to the law.

I dunno.  There's a fair number of Democrats in SC--as you might expect.  Local wins are possible.  Ten years ago I think maybe I could've had a shot, because back then I could possibly have worked out as Dem hawk.  Also, I didn't have an extensive criminal record.  But hey, Debs had a criminal record. :)

I've considered running as a SPUSA candidate, not to win but mainly as a goof.  You know, like Ralph Nader or Ron Paul.

But really, all I ever wanted was a magistracy.

Yes.  Me.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I am strongly considering getting out of this state.  It really depends on who hires me and whether I get hired.  If the hearing officer thing doesn't work out (and it doesn't look like it is, I think I applied over a month ago, but I don't really know what the turnaround on those things are), there are Fed admin law jobs all over our great nation.

But Vermont?  VT is too cold.  I mean, I get cold here.  Plus, I thought it was full of libertarians--or is that just NH?

Vermont elected Bernie Sanders and have a fruity political streak in them.

Hm, he does sound pretty cool, although I can't identify with all his policies (anti-war and anti-genetic engineering).  Perhaps I should move to Vermont; I could offer her people the prospect of eternal life, glorious victory over evil foreigners, and economic liberty, in one convenient package.

It really shows how spotty I am with politics that I'd never heard of the guy, though.

ummm Ide, if you don't like cold let me tell you something about Vermont:  when Princesca and I used to live in Mass. we went to Vermont 3 or 4 times for vacations.  One time we took a long Labor Day weekend and went up to Burlington.  It fucking snowed the night of August 31st.

We have a job opening for the Boston region;  if I had the stones, and didn't have family here, I'd transfer the fuck up there and live over the border in Vermont in a motherfucking heartbeat.

The plant isn't that great... for one thing it's a lot smaller than you would think.  For another, they don't have that much stuff you can't get at a Ben and Jerry's store or many supermarkets, and everything at the plant is overpriced in order to rip off all the tourists.

When I was last there, they did have some flavors that were like experimental or something they let you sample and buy.

In terms of Vermont food locations, I liked the Cabot Creamery better.  You can also visit maple syrup orchards/groves/whatever you call them.

Where exactly is the job?  You can't do a daily commute from Vermont to a job in Boston.
