That's, like, what, a single bite of a candy bar?

The point is it is energy efficient. Quite ironically it could be taken as an argument against exercise.

Fucking rodents.  That's what's driving up my electric bill.  I need to replace them with more energy efficient salmon and horses.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Judging from this data, having a hamster on a wheel is not a very efficient power source.

Yes, you need a 'mongers' on some wheels.  :bowler:

Thought I find those bicycle calculations rather suspect, too efficient.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

I'm going to talk to my boss about replacing the rat in the deli with salmon.  Not only are the salmon more efficient, the customers may enjoy eating them more than the rats.

That reminds me, I told a coworker there was a big mouse in the back with a Australian accent named Monterey Jack and she believed me.  She came from Texas and after they fired her, to Texas she returned.

The pictures of this look fantastic. Would have loved to go but I was away (and I think it sold out).

The dohyo in Royal Albert Hall looked pretty spectacular - from the last day when all the rikishi came out to get their applause:
Let's bomb Russia!

It probably doesn't account for the age of the human.  :(

I just learned that Iowa produces more wheat than all of Canada.

Same place you learned that greed is good?

Didn't seem right so did some quick googling. According to Statista Iowa isn't a top ten producer, so isn't listed, but the 10th state produced 32 million bushels in 2024, so Iowa would have to have produced less than that. Can't find stats for Canadian wheat in bushels but Cereals Canada says we produced 35 million tones which at 1 bushel per 0.0272 tonnes gives roughly 1.29 billion bushels. So just a *little* bit more than Iowa :P

Usual caveat about Google and not vetting so my data might be wrong

Iowa does seem to produce about 2.4bn bushels of corn though, which is about 60m tonnes, I found that pretty amazing.

But what to do with all that corn?

Turn it into high fructose corn syrup to make Americans unhealthy and save on pension payments  :yeah:

Admiral Yi

Mostly animal feed.
