Next they are going to show many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall

This picture of road vehicle bloat is what informed me.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

As usual, my generation is the forgotten generation.  You know the one that saw all the fuck ups of the boomers up close personal.

Gen x are kind of halfway between millenials an boomers.
I mean.
They literally are.
But also in terms of getting a chunk of the benefits boomers got but also a chunk of the shit millenials got.

The boomers have started dying in largeish numbers and the wealth is moving down the chain, further increasing economic equality. Millennials, for example, now make up 50% of the investors in buy-to-let properties in the UK :

The economic privileges of some sections of the younger generations will dwarf those of the boomers in time. As will the suffering of people unlucky enough to have the wrong parents.

I'm starting to get the hang of working in a grocery store deli

"Is that catfish?"

"No ma'am, It's white fish.  Straight from Coney Island."

"Is that chicken fresh?"

"All our chicken is fresh.  We process it on site.  We have men in the meat department choking chicken 'round the clock"

"How long have those green beans been out?"

"Uh, this is still October, right?  Let me get a calculator."
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
