It's a phenomenon I find so weird, but it seems like the traits I associated with hippy dippy granola crowd  growing up like "listen to you body (antivax) and nature is pure (raw milk and clean foods) have been co-opted by the right. Seems like the big companies lie to you of the left has transitioned to scientists lie to you of the right.

Interesting. My great-grandmother on the farm would have categorically refused to drink raw milk. She always boiled it first.

I'm old enough to remember when my mom still boiled the milk before serving us breakfast (over here pasterized milk didn't become super-available until the 1990s).

Btw, I'm surprised how computer challenged by husband is (he prefers to use his iPhone and iPad). I've decided it is because he is an apple head; permanently stunts one's computer literacy.

It probably goes in the other direction as well.  I got a MacBook Pro at work, and I could never get used to it to the point where I'm nearly as productive with it as with a shitty HP laptop.  The biggest problem for me was that it tried to be so helpful to me by removing control from me that I could never do anything I wanted without a lot of headache.

My experience with Apple products is that they make difficult things easy and easy things difficult.
