Absolutely fascinating.

Service imports of $240bn a year, that is about $48k per head. Of that $240bn just shy of $100bn was for "other royalties and licence fees" ...again, about $20k on royalties for every man , woman and child in the country  :hmm:

Yet I was on holiday in Donegal last year and thought it was just the same as it always has been  :hmm:

Yeah. That is what kind of terrifies me about Ireland. Theoretically this country is doing everything right so...why aren't things going right? Or at least better?

Is economic growth...not good for the everyday people anymore? Does it just make things unaffordable?

I am reminded of some people predicting economic doom and collapse if we make housing affordable. I mean what the fuck is the economy even for if providing goods to people at a low price is going to screw the economy? What are we doing?

The modern economy just seems like bullshit, I mean more than it was already in the past.

We have one of the richest countries per capita where nobody seems rich. We have the richest man in the world whose great contribution was a middling car company. And Tesla is even in a downward spiral and I doubt it will bother him even slightly.

Oh how we laughed at Lettow. Little did we know he'd probably end up as a "thought leader" for a MAGA-affiliated think tank.

Yes, I've thought the same.
Or at least they rode the wave of some rising zeitgeist.
Honestly I get it. I can see how I could have headed down that path without some strongly set core values.

Odd their games inspired me to mod in content about Islam and Africa. :o

Because a) everything is securities fraud & market manipulation b) every public company is actually a financial company. If not making a product was more profitable, it's what they would do.
