Baldy is?

Andrew Tate. But to Western Traditionalist the operative word is "non-white".

I recognized him. I was genuinely struggling to figure out which one was the "bad" option from the poster's PoV

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

You know I'm a conservative - I am sympathetic to preserving western art and culture.

But when you immediately leap to "no woman could carve this random sculpture", and you don't even bother to google the picture you use before doing so, you really demean your entire movement.

Even if the sculptor had been @RationalDarkTriadWhiteMale the thing is emetic. The identity of the sculptor isn't the problem.

The Western Art = "white grecian marble sculptures and depictions of bourgeois social life" thing is pretty dumb. All the "degenerate" art that "traditionalists" find so offensive is equally (if not more so) the product of Western culture.

Jacinda Arden resigning in February:
QuoteLewis Goodall
@lewis_goodall
NEW: Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern announces she will resign- her last day in office will be early February: "I know what this job takes. And I know that I no longer have enough in the tank to do it justice. It's that simple."
"I'd be doing a disservice to New Zealand if I continued."
Ardern: "I'm human. We give as much as we can for as long as we can and then it's time. And for me, it's time. I am leaving because with such a privileged job comes a big responsibility. The responsibility to know when you are the right person to lead - and also when you're not."

A little bit like Estelle Morris from a UK perspective.

Although a cynic might note that there's a general election in the autumn. Labour won a huge victory in 2020 with about 50% of the vote and they're now polling behind the National Party and are on about 33% so this might give a successor a chance to get a honeymoon just in time for the election/she gets to leave on her terms/narrative rather than being forced out in the run up to an election or after an election defeat

Edit: At least we'll always have the mournfully swaying kiwis from her trip to Japan

When a politician resigns I just assume they're trying to get ahead of a scandal to keep their post politics carrer options alive.

I believe Boris Johnson's charging $250k for an after dinner speech so I don't think it matters that much.

As long as you don't do a Truss

I didn't cry at my own father's funeral, but I cried when I saw that.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
