I just came across a movie review for the Eternals in a Colombian newspaper that described critics as having been "Decaffeinated" (descafeinado) on the film.  (I believe they use that the way we would use "Lukewarm" in English.)  That seems like the most Colombian idiom possible.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

We use it with a similar meaning over here. Something "decaffeinated" is something bland, unremarkable.

It sure seems to be a really divisive film. Some seem to think it awful, others brilliant, still others meh.

I saw it reposted on twitter. I assume it is a parody.

That's disappointing; I was hoping it was something uniquely Colombian.  Still that's good to know, thanks.

I'm sure it was justified, from a Cardassian standpoint.

Unfortunate placement of news stories on state broadcaster ORF's site:

Police disappeared people into vans last year. A kid arrived at cop riots with a fully armed white supremacist militia, murdered people with a gun, and became a GOP hero. There was a coup. GOP reps issue death threats.

Media is platforming the debate: are colleges too "woke?"

Most of the people I'm working with at my new London job except the very young interns and junior folk seem to have houses.
I have come to the conclusion the talk of difficulty getting housing in London is all a lie.
Anyrhing I have heard previously is a complete conspiracy.

Either that or I'm underpaid :hmm:

None of those things have to do with colleges. Is there only one "debate"?

That guy Media seems too trivial to be worth tweeting about.

But then, people who use "media" as a singular noun are not tweeting things worth reading.
