i do like anchovies, but to my families ever lasting shame i can't stand sardines. if i'm going oily fish i go mackerel (think its horse mackerel in english, because fish have multiple conflicting names)

Also pickled, smoked or tinned fish

All joking aside a good chippy - at the seaside where the fish is fresh - is a delight (the fish isn't fried - it's steamed, that's what the batter's for). But generally anyone buying fish and chips somewhwere you can't actually see the sea is getting conned
