That was a German-made diesel boat;  anybody know the last time one of those went down, if ever?

Only two boats of it's kind were ever completed.

Trying to research more generally the last time a german submarine of any kind is almost impossible - all my searches come to WWII.

My dad went back in to the hospital on Tuesday.  He was suffering from pleural effusion and a stroke.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. Well, they pumped out a liter and half of the stuff.  Probably caused by pneumonia.  I think I may have pneumonia as well, I've had a nasty cough since August.
