Just read that the current King of Thailand was officially resident in Bavaria (living there more than 185 days in a calendar year) when his father died and is thus subject to German inheritance tax. And apparently he still resides in Bavaria part of the year, which I found surprising as I would have expected him to stay in Thailand now that he's king.
