Sometimes anti-Martinus munitions cause collateral damage.  You know that.  So next time, don't be a fucking fag hag about it.

Fine.

I made the mistake of reading the comments on my company's facebook page for the first time. :bleeding:

I used to think that the cleaners on weekend duty had the worst job here but now I know it's the people hired to read and respond to those comments. :worthy:

I'm travelling to Ljubljana (or Laibach, if you're old-fashioned) on sunday for a work conference that I'll be attending, and travelling back next thursday. I guess they'll give us touristic information, but just in case I want to ask over here. Anybody visited the city? Which are the interesting things to see? We won't have that much spare time, but maybe we'll be able to sneak something in the evenings.

Thanks in advance!

I've been there.

Try to ignore the tower of Mordor at Trg Republike. The farmer's market at the river is pretty cool, especially on ..Fridays I think. I had surprisingly good beer there, unlike the standard Union/Lasko choices (Slovenian for Budweiser). The view from the castle is pretty sweet. Reminds you how like the Classical Italian cities LJ would have been if not for the blighted communist architecture. I walked around the archaeological sites related to the old city of Emona. Some of them are hard to find, like between peoples' backyards and stuff. We didn't really spend all our time in the city--went to places like Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, Bled, etc. The cathedral was nice. I guess If I had to pick something I liked most about the city itself, it would be the castle and the market. It's a nice city just to hang out in though. Nice culture. Nice people. Not yet completely spoiled.

I always try to learn "thank you" when I travel at the very least. In Slovenian it's hvala. Pronounced like koala.

Thanks!

The castle I know I'm going to visit for sure since we have some kind of fancy reception there on the first evening of the conference, so I'll try to enjoy the views. Sadly I'm not there on a friday so I'll miss the market.

Language should not be a problem since I already know a few words from Serbo-Croatian, but I don't know how many of them translate directly into Slovenian.

Has CdM stopped being a massive cunt locking threads because his feelings got hurt? Perchance he's finally gone through and jumped off a bridge?  :glare:

The funny part is he was not even going after you at all nor was it even really about the subject of the thread.

 No shit;  Hami accuses me of being a cunt, when he acts like somebody with one.  I BET YOU THINK THIS SONG IS ABOUT YOU
