The woman has become quite the feminist hero for her response.
Horrid crime from the husband but great showing in court where he said yes I am a rapist and so are all those other guys.

I mean, I am not sure what the great showing is. Facing overwhelming evidence he decided to admit guilt.

He's going to be spending life in jail either way.
Making sure the others go down with him though was a moment of good behaviour.

Boris Johnson planned to invade the Netherlands

Boris was frustrated that AZ vaccines were stuck in the Netherlands, so he asked his tip general to devise a plan to invade the country and seize the supply from the warehouse.

Jeez. :bleeding:
He knows his audience I guess.

In other news read a football related article the other day, about Jobe Bellinghams relationship with Jude.
Apparently since they're both young guys they need their parents around, so they've worked something out where their mam spends most of her time in Madrid with Jude whilst their dad moved to Sunderland with Jobe.

Cant help but think one parent really got the better deal there.

Yeah, according to him.

But what does he has to gain by looking nuts?  Selling more copies?

Mate, he built his entire career on looking nuts.

Yes - and add it to his repertoire of after dinner anecdotes. I wouldn't ever believe Boris Johnson's recollection of events as it will have been, at best, shaped.

Allright, I get it.  Thanks. :)

Puts me in mind of when the waiter as a chain restaurant asks you "is everything OK?"
Instantly question why they're asking this. It's weird. Something is clearly not ok and you've just failed to notice it yet.

After first learning of his existence this week I think torsten Bell is becoming a new favourite journalist/politician

I found this one today really interesting. So obvious when you think about it... Yet broadly we don't. We just accept the superiority of the Mediterranean diet (a myth) first hand.

Regarding winter tires, they are now mandatory for most areas of B.C., we rarely get snow in Vancouver at the lower elevations but we are being told all season tires are not as good below 7C.
