Why am I getting nothing but youtube ads for nut trimmers and some deeply stupid phone game?

The algorithms for picking which ads to show you are incredibly advanced these days.  If you want the ads for nut trimmers to stop, I suggest not bringing your smartphone to the bathroom when you take a shower.

FYI the moron game is Mighty Party.

Where is the loo?
They took the ad down - but someone had captured this. As I feared - below the bed "room" :x

And the weirdest thing - from this angle - is this is actually quite a nice decent sized space:

It's crazy. The landlord has somehow chosen the least practical/sensible way to use that space. You could make a pretty decent studio. You could even probably squeeze in a small en suite to keep the coveted "one bedroom" status. But instead they decided to put the toilet and bathroom in the kitchen and then install a bed cupboard above it

All yours for £1,000  <_<

The good thing is that if you have to use the bathroom at night, you can just use it from the bedroom without having to go up and down the ladder.

Reminds me of the closets the servants slept in in "The Madness of King George."

Is that closet supposed to be TWO sleeping spaces?

Brushed my Persian carpet today. It changed colour. Got enough cat fur out of it to make a new cat.

My medium haired cats are very handsome, Pangur in particular has most elegant fur ... but I pay for that beauty with cat hair shed over everything. No matter how much I clean, I can't keep up with the tide of shed fur. 😄

Oh yeah - that's a queen size bed so they would definitely pitch this as great for a young couple looking for their first flat together.

The bed cupboard:

OK, so still marginally better than a Hong Kong hive cell.  :)

I think that looks neat.  I like enclosed spaces though (opposite of claustrophobic).

That bar is so low a toddler could step over without losing his balance.

A few things annoy me about these micro flats. But not that they exist.
Rather its that in Britain they're usually converting perfectly valid homes into a bunch of them. Particularly annoying when they do it with regular houses. You never really see purpose built studios in blocks.
Also annoys me when they pretend to be something they're not. Trying to cram in all the ammenities of a full sized flat in a tiny space. No. If you're living in this kind of place you must think different. No oven for you.

Yeah. Like selling a "flat" which is quite very obviously the attic of a former family home, for £300k. It's insulting to even post that ad.

Yeah but that's because we've got a lot of houses - especially ye olde housing that is clearly designed for people with servants.

So that one is definitely a Stockwell Georgian terrace like these - which is not a reasonable size for most modern families

My guess is it's probably on the first floor - and the thing I find infuriating is it's a decent and a reasonably sized space. I think you could easily design that space in a room that is either a small but workable one bedroom flat or quite a nice/spacious studio flat. The landlord's just chose the weirdest way.

As opposed to selling the three bed house for $750k or whatever - I think we need more at the £300k price mark or lower.

I've lived in the basement of a Georgian flat, the top floor of an Edwardian Terrace etc. It's all sort of normal and I think we'd have a far more severe housing crisis if we weren't going around converting older houses into flats. Not least because basically almost all housing stock before, say, late 19th century is big houses (and they've always been used for multiple flats - or back in the day you'd actually just rent your family's part of the room).
