Next he'll be amazed that Bruce Dickinson is a certified airline pilot. Or that Dolph Lundgren was offered a scholarship at the MIT.
Is that why teh Brain finds him so dreamy?

Some people like to call that a PhD Timmy.
Initially wrote that I just found out he was a Dr. in astrophyics, then changed it, but forget to change dr. to doctorate.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I believe the offer was for chemistry, not nuclear physics. That said, he rejected it to pursue his acting career.

If only I could get my kids to do that.  I actually had to ban Cheetos from the house, though the wife sometimes helps the kids smuggle them in.

Old news Timmy.
Most highly successful musicians I've seen interviewed come across as extremely intelligent people.  I think it takes more than just musical talent to make it that far.  Examples off the top of my head include, aside from Dickinson and May, Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth, David Byrne, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Freddie Mercury, Avril Lavigne, that chick with the weird voice and one-word name whose name I forget ATM, Lady Gaga, etc.

On that note (hah!): http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/jul/17/iggy-pop-grace-jones-henry-rollins-silent-rock-movie

QuoteIggy Pop, Grace Jones and Henry Rollins sign on to silent rock movie

Music legends Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, Henry Rollins and Eagles of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes have all signed on to star in a project billed as "the loudest silent movie on Earth", from Belgian-Swedish director and visual artist Björn Tagemose.

Titled Gutterdämmerung, the experimental project will be park-rock show, part-immersive cinema experience, and features some of the world's most well-known rock performers. The movie, while silent, will feature a score provided by a live rock band at every screening, in addition to a live narrator. The recently launched website for the film sums up what Tagemose has set out to achieve: "Think of a deafening rock 'n' roll version of Secret Cinema taking place in hell and you might just begin to have an idea of what Gutterdämmerung is."

The film centers around the Devil's Evil Guitar, which is sent back to Earth by the punk angel Vicious (Pop), to unleash sin upon mankind, according to Beat. Rollins play a puritan priest intent on destroying the devil's instrument.

Tagemose and his rock star cast announced the project on the film's website, promising additional casting announcements on 3 August.

Pop also has another film project lined up. He's set to play a serial killer in The Sandman, the latest horror film from Italian master Dario Argento.

Music legend Grace Jones? :hmm:

I know she is a musician but I can't help but think of her as the crazy barbarian lady from Conan the Destroyer. :)

I saw her perform last month. After that performance, I'm prepared to call her a music legend. -_-

In a good but so crazy way. I mean what other 67 year old would perform on stage with her bare breasts hanging out?

She dressed the same as in the attached link (though wasn't body paint, looked like white tape) at the concert I saw her in (NSFW in America, I would guess).
