It's funny you mention that.  I had a cousin run a flower shop some time in the 50's as a front.

You can eat flowers. Well some species. The first Tulips that arrived in Europe were eaten by a merchant who thought they were small onions.

My brother is visiting and we just talked about the Georgia teacher scandal.  It went all the way up through principals and superintendents, who made big bank off of improved test scores.  He says there were numerous whistle blowers who were ignored, and fired.  One guy ended up homeless for a while because he got blackballed.

Some teachers offered that up as an excuse to the judge; they either had to go along with the cheating or lose their jobs.
