Without Tim present to hate on, this forum would fall apart.

I have hate for most of you, this forum would be fine.

There's only one stat that matters, and it needs to be stopped.

Old but good series about the traditions of 'British Army' regiments, this one has goats, chamberpots and a good anecdote about Churchill's early arrogant days in the 4th Hussars:

I needed a haircut today, so I started trimming all around and ended up trimming everything. Everything. Then I got Mrs MIM to cut my hair as usual.

I kind of like the 19th century ceremonial of Presidential inaugurations.

My parents have some kind of bug in their lemon trees that turns the lemons into deformed monstrosities. Check out this one (already being eaten by mold):

My 103 year old great grandmother died. :( She was a really nice person and was quite active all the way to 101 years old. She told me that she had once met Reichspräsident Hindenburg.

Caliga

Sorry. :(  My great grandmother lived to be 100, and when she died it was like "wow, I was beginning to think it would never happen."

Sorry man. :console:

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

If someone lives to be 103 I don't know if "sorry" is really the right response.

I mean - it's more "she lived for 103 years.  That's a hell of a lot of living.  Well done granny. :punk:"

There's this guy at work named John Jones, so naturally I keep calling him "Martian Manhunter".  I'm starting to think it might annoy him, which makes me want to call him that even more for some reason. :hmm:

Is there anything legal that US-based airlines can do to make its stewardesses more attractive again? Right now, I can only expect hot stewardesses from Asian and Arabic airlines.

Yeah, the problem is definitely them.  You should write a letter.
