Presently cut off from ready access to acceptable tea. As a result, I've been drinking an absurd amount of water- I constantly keep a 32oz cup on hand, sipping intermittently and never letting it run dry. It is odd but inspiring how water can feel like such a pleasant luxury. The sensation of endless bounty and security, secure in the knowledge that there will always be water, makes it the most comforting thing I fill my days with. The water of my beautiful river city is so inoffensive, distinct from the people who make up the city itself. The neutral flavour of the water, so dependably bland, is at least as refreshing as the endless supply.

An unending, dependable inoffensive domesticity is wrapped around it, and it puts me in mind of an affectionate, nurturing personage.
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

I feel the same way about heavy water.

What's the deal with Facebook? It's not a face, and it's not a book.

Less 10 years, yeah. :D

Got tickets for their Toronto gig in October.

Their first album came out when they were 17 years old. How did they not flame out in a cyclone of hookers and blow?

Props to them, I guess. I probably would have fucked up my life if I had been successful so early on.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_barbarossa#Invasion_musical_theme
QuoteEach German invasion of a foreign country had an official musical theme that was frequently played for the purposes of Nazi propaganda over the totally government controlled radio stations after the invasion was officially announced to whip up enthusiasm for the military operation among the German population. The theme song for Operation Barbarossa was Les preludes by Franz Liszt.
