I don't think you're really supposed to go past your shoulders on those.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

So, did you all of you lazy asses do your taxes today?
I got 'til June.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

My mom just served notice for divorce. :(

:(

My dad is something of a push over and my Mom is taking advantage of this.  She wants like 1700 a month in alimony.   He needs a lawyer.  I think she is going for a "no fault" divorce, but I get the feeling that periodically running off and stealing money counts as some kind of fault. I'm thinking of getting her one of those Anne Romney mugs for mother's day. :menace:

Sorry to hear that, but it seems like it's been a long time coming.

Does your mother have a lawyer?

Yep.  Hers is working for free. <_<
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Well, I'm miserable.

You should take note of Jaron's Utah thread. I am not saying you should leave your dad alone as of this moment, but at least getting a job would both help your mood, and your financial situation (talking without knowledge of your health concerns, obviously, but I sure as hell saw people much crazier than you wandering about in the world)

Josquius

getting a job is a lot easier said than done.

Ain't that the fucking truth.

Especially when you are crazy.  My brother was out of work for like four months.  And he's fairly well adjusted.  I doubt I'd have an easier time of it.

"So, when was your last work experience".

"Uh, 2003".

"And why did you leave that position"

"I used city property to bludgeon a coworker."

"And what did you do after that"

"I painted him yellow"

"I meant more long term"

"Oh, right.  I spent time in out of mental hospitals, then became a recluse"

"We'll call you if we have an opening".

He's also working in a gay bar.

Razgovory

That works out well, since he's gay.  He just started the gay bar thingy.  After months of looking he finally got a job at Sonic.  I once worked at a Sonic.  For two and half days.  I didn't mesh well with the coworkers.  Good thing I wasn't sued.

There are some things you don't volunteer at interviews. This is one of them.

I was watching a British show call Cowboy Builders on HGTV, it's from channel 5 iirc. Anyway, the show is about bad contractors(cowboys ) ripping off people. Standard fare. What seems so weird to me, is the Brits way to build houses.

a) No wood. They don't seem to use wood at all. Everywall seems to be in Bricks and every beam in steel. Seems very wastefull & overthe top to me. Especially for the south of country.

b) No sheetrock. Do they really plaster everything?

It's so weird. It feels so alien. I feel like Tyr.

When I came to Canada I was surprised that everything here was made of wood. Cheap, I thought.

We live in a country with extensive forests.  Brits do not.
