i have a CD player in my car. At work I have itunes with 5500 songs installed.

I do listen to the news and traffic for about 10 minutes when I first get out.

Listening to CDs in the car? How antiquated. I connect my ipod via the audio jack and listen to everything I've crammed onto that.

Yes I know. :( My next  car will come with an Ipod dock. My current one doesn't seem to have any way to hook it up.

BTW....Anyone use rdio?rdio.com?

It's like spotify, and for the first time it's actually licensed for Canada. For $5/mo you can have unlimited streaming. Another way to sample songs cheaply without resorting to radio.

I wonder if I could fake French proficiency enough to do a French doc review project.  Je m'apelle est Hunter et j'ai lu bien le francais!

Mon dieu, je veux a mourir.  Pourquoi ne pas?  Je ne suis meme pas en vie. :(

Maybe not.

Excellent article in Time about Rhode Island redoing public employee pensions.  No more retirement at 55, no more automatic COLA, part of the pension is now defined contribution.  This in a Democratic stronghold state.   Hooray!

I support it.

Didn't see that one coming, did you?

What a fucking year.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Berber Yak cavalry raiding my liquor cabinet before the year is out.

No.  Just a (rather weak) metaphor for the utter strangeness of this year vs. me.
Let's just say that I am less-than-pleased with things since I left the UK.

Thanks, bud.  It's safe to assume that I will not mourn 2011.  Sell.

I'm sure not everything was bad at the palace in Amman, Colonel.
