Languish, help me plan a Euro vacation. Rome, Paris and London.

The Strand Palace Hotel is where I usually stay, very convenient location and about a fifth of the price of the Savoy across the road 

Yeah both are great positives, particularly the latter.

Yeah , as above. It's fine for sight seeing (close to the South Kensington museums and Hyde Park) but no real buzz (perhaps a bit at Earls Court) and limited decent bars and restaurants. You're near the A4, a busy road which somewhat dissects the area.

RH's suggestion is good. Close to Convent Garden and several good galleries and closeish to the South Bank, Westminster and Soho.

Flying thru Alitalia 2 hours cheaper than train

How budget sensitive are you and how critical is it to stay in the city center?

There are much cheaper options in the suburbs that are connected to the metro, but some people feel unsafe there (but not me).

I'd defer to others. It gets great reviews. There are cheaper options, but as always there are trade offs here.

In Paris I would place a pretty big emphasis on being close to Metro.

ok so we have everything booked!!!!! Scary. Because it just became real. this is what we have:

25-29 Rome at Gli Scipioni B&B
29 Flying out from Rome to Paris on Alitalia
29-june 2nd Paris at Hotel Joyce Astotel
June2-06 London Strand Palace Hotel
06 flying back home.

Watch out for gypsy pickpocket kids in Rome, especially around the Vatican.  They work in teams, so if you see one kid coming from your front with a sign about being hungry blah blah, watch out for his crew coming from your sides.
