I thought Gameboys were pretty freaking lame at the time.  I vastly preferred just playing on my NES.  But damn were they popular even kids in 2001 and 2002 were still playing Gameboys.

Never saw the point of a game boy either, NES though, that was the shit.

Both I and my brother had a Gameboy, and even that little link cable that let you play two-player games on it.  It was ossum at the time.

Didn't have a Game Boy, I was a bit too old then. We played Game & Watch stuff in the 80s though.
