What are your thoughts on Mushrooms?

I don't so much hate mushrooms as I hate the mere thought of mushrooms. And by not "so much hating" mushroom I mean I don't actually hate them. Just just hate the idea of mushrooms. They seem to have little to no taste but when I manage to identify their texture in a meal I feel revulsion. Had I not know there were mushrooms in the stew I just ate I would have lived my life without any issue. But, the act of knowing that there are mushrooms in a dish feeds a visceral emotional purely psychological distaste for that dish.

As for onions, really good in soups and broths and stews where the add to the savory/umami'ness of a dish.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

My thoughts on mushrooms?

Usually, all trippy, man.  :D

I hate mushrooms.  Totally disgusting.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

Delicious.

Particularly good with steak and on Pizzas.

Also very, very good as a side dish with a  sauce.

Large types stuffed and roasted a particular favourite. :mmm:

But then, what do I know; I think stuffed lamb's hearts are one of the top ten meat dishes in the world but 99% of people seem to find the thought of eating them revolting.

Mushrooms rule.  Love the texture & taste both raw and cooked.

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Love em. On pizza, in sauces, and as a side (sautéed with garlic).

I'll occasionally have some grilled mushrooms with steak or pork, though I'm not a big fan.

I had a half Polish, half Italian bunkie in college.  Went to the manse for Thanksgiving, his mom (Italian) made some stuffed mushrooms that I just hoovered up like they were heroin.

Not crack, heroin.

Love them.  Yes, they can be totally tasteless in some dishes, but even then they don't ruin the dish.
