What it says on the tin. I ask because this is a question I've asked my students and their most common answer strikes me as odd. I want to see if it's preference limited to my students, or if it's a sentiment that is more widespread.

You need to be more specific.
I mean, there is a massive tactical difference from Regenerate/Healing in 60 seconds and doing so instantly.
Also, side perks. Does Regenerative Healing means immortality?

Mind Control, isn't this part of telepathy? How powerful mind control? Can you order people around, how many at a time?
Can you "possess" people? Can you see through their eyes when you are holding back, hands off style? Can you "transfer" when you lose a body?

Invulnerability, what kind? Force shields? Can you use it offensively?
Can you shield other people? Can you "push" your shields down to flight, or at least hover?
Can you keep the water out?

So many questions......

So many choices.  :(  I'd like to have a superpower to add all the superpowers listed above, so that I don't have to pick just one.

They did that in Heroes, then realized it was overpowered and unbalanced the story line, and went to one power at a time, by contact.

Flight, assuming one can get high enough without freezing, and travel at a decent speed.

I would never consider flight because teleportation can do all that and more.
You can teleport high and glide down, when you get too low, teleport higher again.
No airplane can out run you, since you can always teleport into the plane.

When it comes down to it, there are only a few superpowers that are really valuable.

They did that one in one episode of Misfits, turned out to be much more dangerous that you could think of.

There isn't really much choice is there? If I could have one super power it would have to be the United States of America.

Regenerative healing, if it includes immortality.

If immortality is not on the table, I choose telekinesis, which is like mastery of magnetism but can't be defeated by rubber bullets or plastic helicopters or similar shit such as has threatened Magneto in the past.

If you controlled electromagnetism you could vaporize rubber bullets with daylight, raise the potential of the ground so much that lightning shot up and downed the plastic helicopters, then upband your bodies infrared radiation to gama-rays in order to give cancer to writers who come up with premises such as those.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

With invisibility you could watch chicks take a shower, but with time control you could stop time, check their boobs out and then start time again without them knowing.  Tough call. :hmm:

Cal is a creeper.

At least he didn't contemplate the possible uses for mind control.
