They not only need to beat Verlander, they need Chen to give them some real innings.  Going through virtually the entire bullpen in Game 1 is not good, especially with a 15 hour turnaround.  Tillman hitting 100 pitches by the end of the 5th was bad.  I think he could've started the 6th, but that was the meat of the Detroit lineup, and it would've been too dangerous with a 1 run lead.

I like a lot of Angels players, but I just can't bring myself to like the team.  Maybe it's the lingering memory of that rally monkey bullshit.

I think Buck needs to convince his team that every inning is the 8th inning from here on.

Man that had to be a heartbreaker for the Tigers.  Here is hoping they do not recover.

It's not too bad since I'm in MDT.  But surely they won't have a third straight game go into extra innings.

Thankfully there's no Thursday Night Football to pre-empt Sportsnet from showing the game.

They can't continue playing and winning games like these last two;  they need starters to survive the 5th, save their bullpen, and quit hoping that the runs will come in the 8th of the bench.
Makes for exciting baseball, but not a winning formula down the stretch.
