To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Did anyone else notice during the player intros (it was either Colts/Niners or Bears/Steelers) that a lot of players have started calling their alma mater THE University of Whatever?

Why does spell check not like alma mater?  :hmm:

They've been doing that for years.  Using high schools, etc.  I like it when somebody mentions their elementary school.

This is different than THE high school thing.  THE Florida State University.  THE University of Wisconsin.

Heh.  Terrelle Pryor is pretty fun to watch.  He doesn't give a damn, he'll throw it anyway.

Dammit, I just knew I should've started Moore over McFadden, considering they'd be playing from behind.

What happened to Jacoby's knee, anyway?  Preseason injury, or what?  I didn't even know he was having problems until he didn't play vs. Houston.
Got hurt in week one.  One of the rookies ran into him on a special teams play.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Got hurt in Week 3, too.

QuoteJust hours after he was involved in an early-morning altercation that reportedly left him "bleeding everywhere," Ravens Pro Bowl kick returner Jacoby Jones reported to the team facility Monday to participate in a walk-through practice and continue rehabilitation of his right knee.

"As far as Jacoby, he's fine," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "He went through everything today that he was supposed to go through. He didn't miss anything."

Jones was involved in anincident that happened on a party bus after a celebration of Ravens' left tackle Bryant McKinnie's birthday at the Opera Ultra Lounge in Washington. Harbaugh said he was made aware of the situation Monday morning, less than 24 hours after the Ravens beat the Houston Texans, 30-9, at M&T Bank Stadium.

"I'm not very impressed personally with the report," Harbaugh said. "It's not something we want to be known for. I'd like to think it's not something that those guys would want to be known for. It's nothing to be proud of. I'm kind of disappointed in that sense."

An eyewitness told TMZ, which first reported the incident, that he saw a bottle being swung at Jones and it "connected with his head and hurt him."

According to Gwendolyn Crump, the director of communications for the Metropolitan Police Department, "police were flagged down Monday morning shortly before 3 a.m. for an altercation that was occurring at 15th and I Street NW."

Crump said that the person who was injured "indicated that he did not know how he obtained the injury, refused medical treatment on the scene and refused to go to the hospital."

"Contrary to reports, Jacoby is fine ... and was back at practice this morning with his normal rehab routine," his agent, Kennard McGuire, said Monday in an interview with The Baltimore Sun.

Jones didn't respond to a request for comment. However, multiple people who saw him at the Under Armour Performance Center Monday said that his head injury did not appear serious. Jones, one of the heroes in the Ravens' victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, has missed the past two games after spraining his right knee during the Ravens' season-opening loss to the Denver Broncos on Sept. 5. The knee injury was expected to keep him out about a month.

Harbaugh said that he talked to both Jones and the team about the incident, although he wanted to keep that in house.

"Of course, we're going to have conversations and we had conversations about that and other things. I'll probably keep that between us. I addressed it with the team. What do you want to be known for? Do you want to be known as a football player or do you want to be known for that? I don't think it's anything to be proud of," Harbaugh said. "My Dad, Jack Harbaugh, is here and that's definitely a motto that was enforced in our household: Nothing good happens after midnight. I did reiterate that with the guys today, yes."

Harbaugh, who turned 51 Monday, added a little levity to his news conference when he was asked whether he'd celebrate his birthday on a party bus in Washington.

"Well, I'm going to pretend that question never happened," Harbaugh said, laughing.

Football doesn't get any better than Peyton Manning dismantling a defense.

Bless their little hearts, the Raiders aren't mailing it in on offense.  They're still trying.

Couldn't even get a garbage TD, though :(

You know, this mighty Denver offense is going to look all the more ironical when they choke in the playoffs because Peyton can't play when it's chilly out.
