You know, I think Tom Coughlin might actually get fired this year, for real.

Doubtful. They'll suck ass the first half of the season, win their last 6 games and sneak into the playoffs, like usual.

The Carolina game definitively established this is not a playoff team.  I don't think there is much Coughlin can do to remedy the core problems on the offensive line.  His son-in-law is declining physically do to chronic injuries and will never return to pro bowl form.  Baas and Booth are basically backup level players pushed into starting spots.  Pugh is a project thrown into a starting spot in desparation.  Beatty is not as bad as he was shown up by Carolina but one has to wonder whether the Giants expected too much.  Diehl will presumably help when he returns but like Snee he has had a lot of nagging injuries lately and clearly is on the downside.  This is fundamentally a personnel problem.  The Giants tried at address it with last year's draft and throwing money at Beatty but it was too little too late.

So have you all heard about the dude from the Cardinals who lost part of his finger during yesterday's game?  He took his glove off and part of his finger stayed in the glove.  AND HE DOESN'T KNOW WHEN IT HAPPENED!!

Sorry no link, I just saw it mentioned 1000 times on Twitter.

Just heard on Mike and Mike that the Redskins have let up more yards in the first three games than any other team in the Super Bowl era! :o

The last time the Lions beat the Redskins on the road Franklin Roosevelt was still in his first term.  (The franchise wasn't even in Washington, they beat the Boston Redskins.)
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Did anyone else notice during the player intros (it was either Colts/Niners or Bears/Steelers) that a lot of players have started calling their alma mater THE University of Whatever?

Why does spell check not like alma mater?  :hmm:

Alma mater.  Mine seems to be okay with it.

Adding THE to everything is imo only mildly less stupid than blabbing out which high school they attended.

I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

What happened to Jacoby's knee, anyway?  Preseason injury, or what?  I didn't even know he was having problems until he didn't play vs. Houston.
