Make sure you don't go to any forests with them.

Well, one of the Ukrainian Euro 2012 stadiums is in Charkov. :P

Why would anyone support Russia?

Because I like how they play and I think they have a shot at winning the tournament?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Italians again. They surprised me when they played the Visigoths. If they can keep it up and continue to play interesting football I think I'm going to support them for the second place after Denmarks takes the cup  :P

Or first place in the unlikely event that Denmark fails. I'm going to Italy in early July so I want them to be happy :)

If you let someone handcuff you, and put a rope around your neck, don't act all surprised if they hang you!

Forget about winning and losing; forget about pride and pain. Apparently, about 300 Spanish sport fans imitated monkeys during the Spain-Italy game, when the black Italian player was controlling the ball. Spaniards: racist like Poles. :(

And German sport fans threw paper serpentines at Ronaldo. :(

I succesffully avoided seeing any mention at all of the game today.
Watching it now....1-1 at 60 mins....

Italy had to keep the "unbeaten in official competitions since 92 years" record against Spain (except for penalties)  ;)

I was surprised too by Italy, given the grim premises: very little time to play together and experiment with tactics, absence of a real striker, Cassano having undergone heart surgery in the winter, Balotelli being the cunt he usually is, a big big betting scandal involving some first tier players, and so on.
De Rossi must be careful playing so well as centreback, he's putting at risk his career as midifielder  :P

On a totally unrelated note, where are you going in Italy?

To be honest, if DeRossi had been born a Catalan he'd be a central defender at Barca.

England did surprisingly OK. The referee was French too. They may not embarass themselves yet.

I almost get the impression though that England and France had came to an agreement that they were the two teams who would go through and so a draw would be best.

My two year old daughter really enjoy watching football with us. She watched Denmark-Holland all dressed in the appropriate colors. When Denmark scored she celebrated with us by jumping and yelling etc.

Afterwards she asked if a new goal was about to be scored every time she noticed the ball. After a while she shifted her focus to the players falling (incl. the goalies) to the ground by saying "he's hurt himself... up again!" or "there there" consoling them

I suspect we are going to hear that a lot when she's watching Portugal tomorrow.  :P

Lovely. It's always nice to travel in the southern countries when they win. I remember being in France in '98 and Italy in '06, good stuff.

I really doubt the ref of the England France game was French.
