Plus I miss Drut hiding in the snow running ambush drills on the kids.  :(

Did something happen to Drut?

He was buried with full honors.

Too funny; like somehow we're going to suddenly go all Little House on the Prairie for 48 hours, baking bread and churning our own butter and whatnot.

I'm going to try to keep track of that the next few snow panics-- I'm seriously baffled by it.

You could get your choice of whatever specialized flour you wanted-- whole wheat, bread flour, etc.  Standard all-purpose flour was cleaned out.  In fact, I think I got one of the last two or three packs of the overpriced stuff.

You may have seen me go all emo in the Dog thread, so I know what it's like.

I had to go pick up Roscoe's ashes on Monday.  He's sitting on a bookshelf at the moment until we figure out where to scatter his remains.

Yea, the concept of a "snow day" still makes me laugh.

Me too, with schadenfreude.

Better than smog days. -_-

The University of Wyoming doesn't do "snow days" at all.  When it was -25 and snowing in the morning it was a "bundle-up day" and classes went on as usual.
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Bury them under or close to a new sapling or around an existing tree known to you ?

That way he'll symbolically* aid the growth of a living thing, that you can see mature over the years?

The National Weather Service called it: no snow for Christmas this year. :(

Several days ago, NYC wasn't getting any snow today. Then Monday morning they said less than an inch. Last night they said 1-3 inches. It snowed off and on today but large, wet flakes. Nothing ever stuck.

Hmm, now supposedly 3-5 inches tomorrow.

Some models have Jack Frost dumping 19-20 inches of snow on us this coming weekend. :yeah:

Lucky.  It's looking here like we'll have rain & up to 55-degree weather :(

We did get what I believe is our 4th snow this morning.  Just a dusting, but usually we're lucky to get a few flurries before Christmas.
