They did indeed seem to have some rather bawdy lasses.
big girls need loving too :P

It's all those roasted Renaissance Fest turkey legs.

I saw Snow White, finally.  Really good movie.  Except the parts where we see Kristen Stewart.  I just can't believe a woman can be more beautiful than Charlize Theron.  Oh, and she can act, something the Twilight girl seems to have trouble with.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

To be fair, the Twighlight girl is used to a series of films where characters state how they feel rather than showing.

I drank because I wanted to drown my sorrows, but now the damned things have learned to swim.

I believe in Monica Bellucci, and so can you.

She's tomorrow's pick, on the M-W-F rotation.

Like Nolan's Batman movies, then.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Doctor Who western was crap.

I thought it was a really wasted opportunity, plot wise. It is important to remember that WHO is children's tv; oh, well, at least family tv.

Here the situation was, the doctor, who's moralizing managed to get his own species wiped out then "retaliated" by purposefully contriving to have the daleks go extinct (and like in comics, nobody really truly dies). Tries to moralize about manipulating a few individuals to end a war that had already destroyed half a planet. All this while the civil war vet could easily have argued how the monitor, the repeating rifle or the rifled field gun managed to help end the war destroying his country. Or even better if they had set it in 1950 with the sheriff as one of the men destined to be part of the first wave of operation olympic and comparing the terminator to the atomic bomb.

But still, I liked the line "will everybody who is not an american put down their guns!"
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Razgovory

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
