DS9 is way, way better than all other Trek shows.  Not even close.

Ark is one half of the duo of my perfect, 10/10 action films. The other is Aliens.

Better Call Saul ep 6 - woah. Best episode so far. Ehrmantraut's scene where he's telling his story to his daughter-in-law is easily the most powerful shit I have seen in a while.

Yeah, great episode. I'm really liking that show. I wasn't sure if I'd like the story line of the show or the characters but I find that I like the cast and "Saul" is doing a good job in this IMO.

I hope they do the Blu Ray releases of this.

Went to visit my mom this weekend and we binge-watched the first 5 eps of Gotham (she loves Batman). It's actually pretty decent. I read some mixed reviews but I thought it was quite successful for a debuting show. She liked it too.

Started watching Boardwalk Empire.  Its very enjoyable.  Not sure how I missed this the first time through.

The first few series are wonderful.

Finished the series - really enjoyed it, but though the last three episodes were a bit of a letdown.
I especially disliked the trial. The series always had a bit of a cartoonish silliness, but the trial took it too far in an unfunny way IMHO, based on the previous tone of the show. It might have been better if it hadn't dragged over three episodes. Also: Randy. What a stupid, useless, unfunny character.
Yeah, agree that the it ended weaker than the rest of the season. Kind of felt like they got on a path, realized it kind of wasn't as funny as they thought it would be, but didn't know how to get off...

The whole premise of the show - women who survived over a decade of captivity in an underground bunker, is incredibly dark.  The show works because of the whole "unbreakable" aspect of it - Kimmy Schmidt refuses to let that dark chapter of her life define her, and she tries to put that aspect behind her.

But the trial sequence brings the show right sqaure back to the deeply unfunny and dark premise though.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

I dunno. Some of the bunker flashbacks are downright hilarious, though obviously dark if you consider the situation. I just thought the trial was too drawn out.

The bit in an earlier episode with the robot was as farcical as the trial, with all the usual eyrolling notes you'd expect from a sitcom where such a situation arises. However, as it was only part of one episode it didn't outstay its welcome for me. Had the trial been one, or half an episode I don't think I would have hated it as much. It was also problematic with the secondary characters as the writers seemed to struggle to give them something to do (the road trip was unnecessary and added only little characterization and again: drop Randy - watching a borderline mentally handicapped country cop (comment on rural police?) bumble around and getting into Adam Sandler level antics is not funny).

A German site had an interesting comment on the show, though, saying that it brings some 1990s colorful optimism into our otherwise cynical and jaded times.
