The Med.  Go in September, after the eurothrongs have receded.  That applies to any European vacation BTW.
The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

I drank because I wanted to drown my sorrows, but now the damned things have learned to swim.

Travelling in May/June seemed to avoid Euro-throngs as well.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

I agree with northern Italy, especially if you've never been.  Baveno/Stresa

Of the ones you listed, I of course picked Germania.

I've been to Milan and Paris. She hasn't.

And no, not going to Hungary is a fail. What is the point of never ending gypsies trying to steal my wallet? No Polacks, no Hungarians, no Romanians.

Plus, I've seen beets.

Paris & Normandy, South of France or Italy (North or Tuscany) are all good.

Will you be bringing the brood?  If so, I'd pick somewhere in Italy.

Admiral Yi

Do you speak any Yuro languages Mr. Boner?

They stay home. the second set of twins should be okay with nannies and in-laws. Or I'll just leave them at the kennel.

If you're concerned about gypsies, then avoid Pisa, Genoa, and Florence.

I'd pick Southern France then.  You going upscale, what with you being a member of the managerial class and all?

Admiral Yi

I vote southern France.  Tits on the beach for you, posh shopping for the awestruck child bride, tuxedo up and gamble in Monte Carlo...
