They hate all government except the military.  Opinions on the environment may vary, but they sure don't need some pencil necked bureaucrat in Washington telling them what is a pollutant.

Did you miss the whole Tea Party episode? Right-wing trash radio? Syt's sister? These people are no creation of Democratic "propaganda".

The crazy right wingers here are all also animal lovers and care about the environment. So I don't get this EPA hatred.

Trump voters like coal.

Might want to look up what the word "volatility" means before misusing it again.
Here for your pleasure:

Feel free to contact me again once you've reached the real world :)

:lmfao:  So, it's not ignorance that made you misuse the word, but stupidity.  Got it, but am not surprised.  At least you sold off your stocks, lowering prices and getting me better deals.  Thanks for that, at least.  Keep living in that imaginary world of yours where US market volatility is high.

QuoteWASHINGTON ― The Environmental Protection Agency has frozen its grant programs, according to sources there.

EPA staff has been instructed to freeze all its grants ― an extensive program that includes funding for research, redevelopment of former industrial sites, air quality monitoring and education, among other things ― and told not to discuss this order with anyone outside the agency, according to a Hill source with knowledge of the situation.

An EPA staffer provided the information to the congressional office anonymously, fearing retaliation.

So who gave this order? Are we to just assume it was the "beach team" for the EPA?  :hmm:

Trump is in with the "prosperity gospel" folks it seems. At least some conservative American Christians seem to be aware that this creed is not really acceptable to mainstream Christian thought :

Hilarious that after all the amoral shit Trump pulls off, what drives Christians over the edge is the Nicene creed.

I'm a Christian, and what made me join the "anyone but Trump" crowd was his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the country.  Not that I supported him before that, but it was the straw that meant that I'd never support him no matter what.

Read some articles on German politicians thinking that Trump is not bullshitting but means everything he says. Which in turn means that our government now considers to prepare for a trade war with our biggest trade partner...

Its an interesting intellectual exercise.

How fast can you destroy 70 years of global dominance, if you try really, really hard?

Apparently from the inside, really fucking fast.  <_<

There is one thing that gives me pause in the doom and gloom:

I 100% agree with you guys. I still find it some twisted and sick joke that such an utter joke of a human being can hold any position power, let alone the most important one.

On the other hand, I read our discussion and I am fairly certain, it must look exactly like the kind of discussion derspiess and his buddies had the past 8 years, about the end of America and the destruction of everything that's dear. So maybe that gives SOME hope that we are exaggerating.
I'm all for anything that makes me feel less despair, but this can be a dangerous coping tactic.  This kind of thinking led most observers to conclude that the problem in US politics is partisanship.  In reality the problem in US politics was the extreme belligerence of one party and their supporters, and the understandable (and yet at the same time totally inadequate) reaction to that from the other party and their supporters.

If John is a brainwashed and Peter is hyper-rational, John will perceive Peter to be brainwashed just as much as Peter perceives John to be brainwashed.  The unfortunate thing is that neither one of them can justifiably be sure that it's the other one who is brainwashed, but Peter is the far more likely one to have doubts and thus be less decisive on acting on his beliefs.
