At this point, I think any given revelation or scandal will be nothing but another drop with little discernible impact. Maybe one of them, one day, will be the drop that makes the dam burst but if and when that happens I have no idea.

I think more the point is that religion has been shown to be nothing more than a fig leaf for the evangelical right. They are not where they are politically because of their religion, they are there because they are bigots and intolerant assholes, and religion is a convenient cover. Trump has proven that beyond any shadow of a doubt.
