I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

The dream is always the same.  I'm chewing a big wad of gum but it becomes stuck to my teeth.  So I'm pulling out handfuls of gum and I keep taking out teeth at the same time.

Oh, I thought you meant you were pulling them out on purpose, like with pliers or something.  The teeth falling out dreams are very common for some reason

When I was a kid I use to have to wear something like this:

Couldn't chew gum or it would get stuck and when they took it out it removed some teeth.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Possibly because every kid actually experiences this when their adult teeth grow in, and the trauma for some is remembered and recycled in dreams? Even if conciously the trauma wasn't a big deal.

For the same reason, I'm still plagued with "exam anxiety" dreams, decades after I've taken my last exam - and when I was actually a student, exams didn't particularly bother me.

Maybe.  I don't remember losing my baby teeth being traumatic, I thought it was cool, but who knows.  I've had the teeth falling out dream a couple time though, it's horrible.

Useless trivia: in traditional italian folklore, dreaming of losing teeth means the dreamer's gonna lose a relative.

Now that I think of it, I get those too.  And it's always high school rather than college.  I'll dream about failing a test and not graduating high school, but I never dream about failing tests in college, where I actually did fail tests

Yeah...I have those too. I suppose we all do.  It's less about failing the exam than it is about not being able to find the examination room, cause I lost my schedule.

The other day I was dreaming that I had a curling game, but I couldn't find my shoes or broom, and I think I couldn't find the sheet I was supposed to be playing on...

I think that was the first time I've ever dreamed about curling though.

Never had dreams of loosing my teeth, and I have not seen Downfall either, maybe I can correct both deficiencies soon. Will report back if I dream of Nazi tigers and lions pulling my teeth tonight.

And do you remember high school tests being horribly traumatic? Probably not.

My derams are usually about undergraduate (often, I dream that I forgot which course I was taking, didn't do any work, and am now being forced to take an exam - which is all babble to me) - never Law School. Yet, undergraduate was for me a breeze, whereas Law School was a lot tougher.

You combine the two by posting a youtube clip of Hitler ranting about dreaming of tigers pulling out his teeth.

No longer possible.  Almost all the Hitler rant videos have been removed from youtube.  They don't stay up long after posting now.   :(
