Yeah, that seems off. Rule of thumb for Vienna is 30% of net income goes into rent.
I think this is to buy - so median household income in London is about £30k and I think median property price is about £450k. So that tracks.

But I don't know about other cities and generally it seems surprising. For rent in London I think the average is 40% (but 45% are at 30% or lower).

So apparently there's a big suit against Facebook, aimed at Zuckerberg personally and most of the board...

Here's a tweet about it: https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1440304941428473857

Do any of you know how big a deal this may be (vs social media froth)?

It's difficult to evaluate because only little excerpts of the complaint are shown.  From what I can see it doesn't really have anything to do with the regulation of social media per se.  Rather, its a shareholder lawsuit alleging that Facebook's board of directors breached fiduciary duties by agreeing that the company would pay high fines in exchange for releasing their executives from regulatory action.  It's an interesting theory - I don't know what the case law says about it.  As a general matter, Delaware is protective of boards - Delaware corps can and do indemnify their officers and directors from claims and most charters contain exculpatory clauses immunizing their Os & Ds from violating their duty of care.  However, I'm guessing this complaint alleges breach of the duty of loyalty, which cannot be exculpated.

There are some superficial signs of legitimacy with this case.  First there is a real plaintiff in the case - the Rhode Island state pension fund - not a nominal shareholder put up by a plaintiff's firm.  Second, lead Delaware counsel is a legit lawyer, someone I've worked with before and have recommended to others. Although he is not associated with one of the "top" firms in the state, he is a well regarded litigator of corporate disputes, specializing in disputes among shareholders and partners.

The Minsky Moment

FYI it is hard to get large "name" law firms to bring these cases on the plaintiff's side. Most big firms either represent FB or one of their execs, want to represent them, represent banks that finance them, or otherwise have "strategic conflicts".  E.g. I personally don't have direct conflicts but would be reluctant to take a case against FB because some of the lawyers who refer matters to me represent them.

That's from the TNG episode "The Survivors" (one of the best episodes in the series).
