Yeah - that's what I'd guess.

My entire knowledge is from The Crown, but it did not look like a conflict free relationship with her sister...

Hence some weasel wording in the article:

Quote"In her long role as monarch, the Queen has probably trusted fully just three people: her mother, her sister and her husband, a trio to whom she was closer than any of her children or friends," Mr Dennison writes in his new book, The Queen, the Sun reports.

Interesting...usually trusting your husband is a bad idea for Queens.
Quote"This is a Russian warship. I propose you lay down arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed & unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you'll be bombed."

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

By all accounts though Liz and Philip had a pretty happy and healthy relationship.  Which seems pretty unusual for that family...

I have been officially deemed "broken" by the VA, and now get pretty sweet parking, with a sign and everything!   :ccr

Hey there boyos. I have sold my house in Nevada, and now I'm a Texan. Again.

I'm camping out here in Ft. Worth and trying to find a new place to live. We've lost seven bids so far.

According to a poll in Serbia, 83% of their population would leave the country, given the chance, with their ideal destinations being Germany, Austria and the UK. The main motivation would be "living in an organized system" (42%), while the prospect of better salaries would be the second motivation (29%).

In other Balkan news, although this time maybe also related to EU political tendencies, Zagreb has just elected a Green mayor in a rather overwhelming manner (45% of the votes), so it can be said that the "Green wave" is not limited to Germany or Western Europe.

Yeah - I saw that. It's super-interesting. But I have no idea what it means and I'm left speculating wildly and coming up with theories

The previous mayor had been around for ever and the Greens came from, I think 3% in the last round, but I feel like that does happen in CEE elections a lot more than Western Europe where you have long-established parties. There's more churn of political forces tied to personalities suddenly disappearing or erupting in CEE?
