Anyone else noticed a trend lately for fascists to just reply to things that are a bit awkward for them with BORING or snore emojis?
I'm sure there must be someone out there who is tracking their trends and the sources. Fascinating to see them all acting according to the same central script.

Language/law question: what's the proper name for the procedure where a court appoints some external administrator for a company that's being investigated for economic crimes?

...it may look like real life is attempting to bring you an answer... From the Trump thread, about the NRA:

QuoteThe judge wrote that if the case is refiled, he would immediately take up "concerns about disclosure, transparency, secrecy, conflicts of interest" between NRA officials and their bankruptcy legal team. He said that the lawyers "unusual involvement" in the NRA's affairs raised concerns that the group "could not fulfil the fiduciary duty" and might lead him to appoint a trustee to oversee it.

So, Israel.

Is it the "usual" flare up that happens every couple years? Or is it more serious this time? I've read through a bunch of articles and my take-away so far is "It's a complicated mess and neither side is looking good in this."
It feels worse than normal.

This detail is a rare, true "both sides" and just awful :(

Riots continue across #Israel: A #Jewish man in his 30s was lynched by #Arab rioters in a demonstration in #Acre tonight, while another Jewish man was lynched by right wing Jewish extremists who mistook him for an Arab in #batyam.
Let's bomb Russia!

Sad to see so many who just aren't willing to accept that both sides are cunts.

I went to the office this morning to actually work and talk to people.

I am so spent. I need a nap.

Also had a draining conversation with an Original The Cabal controls all person & he doesn't acknowledge at all that his side has been taken over by the Fascists.

This does seem worse than normal.  For one thing I put the blame on the Israelis.  I don't normally do that.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Latest conflict in Israel and Gaza seems to have achieved its primary objective:

QuoteIn a dramatic shift that comes amid fighting in the Gaza strip and clashes between Jewish and Arab citizens in Israel, right-wing kingmaker Naftali Bennett has announced he will no longer seek an alternative government to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Tonitrus

Very good of Hamas to preemptively cooperate in achieving that objective.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

It's always a bit eerie how modern war can be so aesthetic. Iron Dome on the left, Hamas rockets on the right.
