It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Folks always trend right as they age Squeeze.

Not true, once a generation becomes politically fixed they vote that way their entire life.

If the president who was in office when you were 18 is viewed as good you stick with his party, if he's bad you stick with the other party.

Reminder: you don't own your digital purchases.

No shit.  That's why I still buy physical media.

Same here. I do rent digitally, but anything I want to "own" (and it's not that much actually) I buy a physical copy.

if steam ever goes under a lot of people are gonna be very sad.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".

Saw a girl on the sub wear a Languish themed t-shirt today.

It just read, "SEMANTICS"

:P

We should do a line of Languish themed shirts.  "STRAWMAN", "F U JARON", "WHEN IS SEEDY COMING BACK?", etc.

Forgot about steam. I actually own a lot of shit there

I don't know.  I think the idea of owning "physical media" is a lot more transitory than you might realize.  I have a box of cassette tapes I can't really listen to.  We just threw out a box of VHS movies that we had no means of watching (and long ago we'd culled that collection so the ones remaining were movies we might actually enjoy watching again).

And as for games... putting aside a handful of games that I have on floppy disks, I'm pretty sure a lot of the games I have from 10+ years ago I would struggle to get working on my Windows 10 system.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

A Turkish guy moved to my street, a couple doors down.  At least I think he's Turkish, going by the name.

On the other hand, I still have CDs from the 80s and DVDs from the 90s that play fine.
