So, according to one of my separatist friends, the consul of Israel in Barcelona is secretly an agent of the Spanish intelligence who's brokered a deal with the moderate separatist party to betray the independence cause in exchange of Spain tricking elections to ensure the leader of that party will hold the regional government for the next 20 years. 

I goggled around and apparently that theory is a thing among the loony separatist alt-right. Gotta love how they really really needed to somehow bring up jews/Israel in it. 

I don't think it counts as a conspiracy if the Jews are not involved.

So Mrs B starts posting me about these tremendous sales she is seeing for lego - like 75% off.  Our boys adore lego, and Christmas is coming up, so this sounds perfect!  I ask where she sees them, she says the online lego store.  I go to check it out, but the sales I see are pretty small and only on some pretty lame sets.

So it turns out she's looking at legoca.com

Which looks super authentic.

But the real lego store canada is https://shop.lego.com/en-CA/

So a whois check reveals that legoca.com was only registered on August 29.  The Wayback machine similarly has no history for the site.

To bad - it's a scam.  Thankfully we caught it before we gave them a CC number.

If you're not a super brand loyalist (and Lego is such a strong brand) and you're just looking to save a buck, you could check out Lepin.

The sets are usually identical to a Lego set.  The Lego Disney castle costs $400 CAD, but you can get the Lepin version for about $100.

The pieces are indistinguishable from Lego and of the same quality, but perhaps slightly lesser in that you can often see where the mould injection point is on the pieces.  The boxes are usually named differently as well, though the sets are the same - the Star Wars Star Destroyer may be instead called "Super Star Fighting Destroyer", etc.

Lot's of debate about the quality, should you / shouldn't you, etc. on YouTube, Reddit and other channels.

He was the first NFL player to take a knee during the anthem and he is a favourite target of the US President and his sycophants.  Hence the reaction from Syt's family.
