Is Israel aware of the fact that their official is secretly in the pay of the Spanish government?  :Joos

So, according to one of my separatist friends, the consul of Israel in Barcelona is secretly an agent of the Spanish intelligence who's brokered a deal with the moderate separatist party to betray the independence cause in exchange of Spain tricking elections to ensure the leader of that party will hold the regional government for the next 20 years.

I goggled around and apparently that theory is a thing among the loony separatist alt-right. Gotta love how they really really needed to somehow bring up jews/Israel in it.  :hmm:

I don't think it counts as a conspiracy if the Jews are not involved.

Man, it would be awesome if Jews were anywhere near as powerful and influential as anti-Semites believe.  :D

Maybe they are and you're just not part of the group

Just like how white people have all the power, but not all white people, just the ones over there with the power :D

Wine drinking Skandis and beer drinking Russians?

What is Europe coming to?

That reminds me of an old jewish joke:

QuoteRabbi Altmann and his secretary were sitting in a coffeehouse in Berlin in 1935. "Herr Altmann," said his secretary, "I notice you're reading Der Stürmer! I can't understand why. A Nazi libel sheet! Are you some kind of masochist, or, God forbid, a self-hating Jew?"

"On the contrary, Frau Epstein. When I used to read the Jewish papers, all I learned about were pogroms, riots in Palestine, and assimilation in America. But now that I read Der Stürmer, I see so much more: that the Jews control all the banks, that we dominate in the arts, and that we're on the verge of taking over the entire world. You know – it makes me feel a whole lot better!"

So Mrs B starts posting me about these tremendous sales she is seeing for lego - like 75% off.  Our boys adore lego, and Christmas is coming up, so this sounds perfect!  I ask where she sees them, she says the online lego store.  I go to check it out, but the sales I see are pretty small and only on some pretty lame sets.

So it turns out she's looking at legoca.com

Which looks super authentic.

But the real lego store canada is https://shop.lego.com/en-CA/

So a whois check reveals that legoca.com was only registered on August 29.  The Wayback machine similarly has no history for the site.

To bad - it's a scam.  Thankfully we caught it before we gave them a CC number.

If you're not a super brand loyalist (and Lego is such a strong brand) and you're just looking to save a buck, you could check out Lepin.

You can buy them from Alibaba: https://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=lepin&isGalleryList=G and some other sources.

The sets are usually identical to a Lego set.  The Lego Disney castle costs $400 CAD, but you can get the Lepin version for about $100.

The pieces are indistinguishable from Lego and of the same quality, but perhaps slightly lesser in that you can often see where the mould injection point is on the pieces.  The boxes are usually named differently as well, though the sets are the same - the Star Wars Star Destroyer may be instead called "Super Star Fighting Destroyer", etc.

Lot's of debate about the quality, should you / shouldn't you, etc. on YouTube, Reddit and other channels.

I think so, yes  :P

I may be the only one who's both sick of him and the backlash against him.  I'd rather put him behind him and focus on important things, like the In-n-Out boycott.

I'm boycotting In n Out due to their lack of quality.
