Tom Brokaw also did a bit on Britain, terrorism, and security at the Olympics.  He said the genesis of Delta was guys who had trained with the SAS.  Betrayus and McChrystal agreed that Delta borrows heavily from the SAS, especially in selection.

Must be tough to find enough British guys for the job.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I know, they were there this year. ZDF.kultur and NDR were streaming/showing quite a few concerts.

Headliner next year: Deep Purple.

I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on an Omega Seamaster chrono diver for a while now, but:

:mmm:  Breitling Avenger.  Niiiice.  The Breitling Chronomat has always been another favorite of mine, but I just "built" this one on their website and goddamn.

Unfortunately, it's like $2k more, which is....a lot.

Fortunately, it tells time quite accurately so that wouldn't apply.

What if you wear something like that and meet a minority?

It's allegory.

Guests of the Ayatollah (generally decent book) has a bit on their origins. Inspired by Israeli, British and German special forces and I think the actual links with the SAS are particularly strong.

Some guys like jewelery, and you pay money for jewelery.  No big deal.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Everyone carries a phone these days.

As Neil says, watches have become jewelry. I have nothing against it, but it's not something I would spend a lot of money unless there was a significant ROI (promotions, contracts, etc).

Do you tape your phone to your wrist?

Iorm only spends decent amounts of money on things that lead to promotions/contracts?
