The worst languish non meet was Siege not checking his messages, turns out he was at the same base as me in Kuwait, just steps away.

That could have been the best. A Languish meet at war.

I forget man. My PTSD affects my short and medium term memories.
Was it Arifjan or Ali Al Salem?
I was in Arifjan for a month between March and April 2007.
I've been a bunch of times in Ali al Salem, but only for a few days at a time.
The longest was like a week waiting for my flight to the US, during an R&R leave.
I think i went back to Arifjan at some point, but is kind of foggy.

AJ was my home base, I drove to Ali all the time too. 06-07 and 10-11. You suck anyway, PTSD or not :P.

I wouldn't mind visiting Israel, Siege. You're assigning me opinions I don't have.

I don't think he was necessarily trying to imply anything about you. Today he's made posts questioning his hyper-capitalist schtick and advocating for gay sex.  :hmm:

He is experimenting.  Soon we will discover his new shtick.

It was boring. I cannot pretend to be what I am not, or defend what I don't belive in.
It just doesn't stimulate my soul.
Not that i have one.

Seriously? I didn't know it had that effect.

Buenos Aires, Barcelona and Berlin.

To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Maladict

The area around Vannes in Brittany, for the best childhood vacation memories.

Venice, for having lived there a short time and slowly becoming part of it.

Auschwitz, for obvious reasons. It is still on my mind a lot after 6 months.

Malta, for the sheer number of different cultural traces in such a small space.

Trieste, for the Habsburg nostalgia mixed with Italian and Slav influences.

Urbino, for coming as close as possible to being at a Renaissance court.

Vergina, the old Macedonian capital for the eerie experience of being the only visitor, walking into a theatre, realizing this is the place where Philip was murdered and Alexander became king at the moment a thunderstorm erupts out of nowhere overhead.

Saint-Malo, for the most glorious sunsets I've ever seen.

Moscow, for a crazy visit in the 90s, which included the apartment bombings, getting arrested several times for no apparent reason, getting shot at and nearly being run over by Jeltsin's car.
