Royals are in win or bust mode.  Several players are free agents after this year.

The Giants have been committing unspeakable rites and rituals to demonic forces that give them super baseball powers in even numbered years. The Mets have no such supernatural powers so the Royals might have a chance.

im not a die hard fan, but I watch a few games through the season and have been to a few games this year with coworkers

Well I can't argue - I'm hardly a die-hard Royals fan.  I ignored them for, oh, 25 years or so.

But they are still my oldest love when it comes to sport teams. :wub:

Nope, as a kid it was always the Royals.

My initials are KC, so someone (I think maybe my dad) gave me a Royals hat at some point.  I thought it was pretty cool - it had my name on it!  I proceeded to get a whole series of Royals hats - I had a whole collection going at one point.  But non-stop wearing KC Royals hats kind of morphed into being a Royals fan - specially when they managed to win the world series when I was 10 in '85.

I'm a bigger hockey fan (and CFL football fan) than I am a baseball fan.  But watching the Royals advance to the world series again... man it just speaks deeply to my inner 10 year old.  :wub:
