Anyone watching Game 4?

I didn't watch the first part (kiddies needed to go trick-or-treating), but the Royals just rocked the top of the 8th to pull into a two run lead.

No I watched a football game that ruined my week :weep:

I will make sure I tune in to watch the Royals win it all tomorrow.

Top of 9, it 'aint over yet.

And since I keep reminding people about '85, you can't count on a 3-1 series lead.

From mlb.com:

QuoteTeams holding a 3-1 lead in best-of-seven postseason series are 68-12 (.850) all-time, and 39-6 (.867) in World Series play. No team has come back from a 3-1 deficit in the World Series since the Royals in 1985.

Which is what has me worried.

Go Royals though.

...

Mrs. B and I were talking about childhood Halloween costumes, and I was all of a sudden reminded of one.  It was 1985.  Ghostbusters came out the year before - and I went to a kids party where the guest of honour was playing a VHS copy of Ghostbusters at Halloween.  My costume: a very old-school ghost (sheet with eye holes), but I also had a baseball glove and a Blue Jays logo on my chest.  I was the Ghost of Blue Jays playoffs dreams. (the Jays having been eliminated a few days earlier - against the Royals, of course).

The Royals won that year, of course.  Much to my pleasure.  God Dammit, I hope they win again.

Put them side by side and no one will be able to tell the difference.

Outer forty year old has a hell of a lot more grey hair.

Dammit.  This is the first time "my team" has won anything since, I dunno, 1990? (and I don't think that counts, since it was the Blue Bombers and they weren't really my team at the time).

This is a good night.  K.C. Uber Alles.

I think you've won a few hockey golds since then.

Arietta gets the Cy, nice story how he turned his career around.
Kershaw finishes 3rd making the 5th year in a row he was in the top 3.  I believe that has never been done before.
