I'm missing the Uffizzis and the Prado myself, I really wonder what that Chinese geological museum has going for it.

Being in China probably.

I mean the Pergamon in Berlin is pretty mind blowing but as Berlin is neither a super city nor a major tourist destination I knew it would not be on the list.

I've been to 10, the three Paris ones, the two NY ones, four London ones (I'm missing the Tate) and the Vatican.

I was surprised to see the Tate Modern on the list; much less so high up there.

I'm missing the Uffizzis and the Prado myself, I really wonder what that Chinese geological museum has going for it.

... lots of Chinese?  ;)

If every school in Beijing has to make a trip there it surely puts them in the top spots.

I would have thought those two, The Hermitage and MOMA would have made the list.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

No Imperial War Museum :(

Isn't that the one with the wing dedicated to the life and overall awesomeness of General Montgomery?

Should make it a shrine for Langishistas.  :bowler:

The MOMA is not even in the US top 20, there must be something funky going on.

Edit: Sorry, it is, at #9.

Wow Pergamon even loses to the National Museum of Scotland.  I mean what is even there?  Famous sheep?

The most famous sheep in the world has to count for something. And they even made a spinning platform for it.

AFAIK the Pergamon has been undergoing deep reforms in the last few years, that might hinder the number of visitors.
