I like grim, conflicted Superman:blush:

But I also like not-so-grim and very not-conflicted Gene Hackman OK MISTAH LOUTHOR

Tonitrus

Sabrina...both versions.

Bogie far > than Ford.

Just finished watching S1 of Dark Matter. It is a show about a group of fugitives wanted throughout the galaxy, who fly around in their own spaceship. The main guy doesn't quite belong, and it was produced in an English-speaking country which is not known for its television industry.  :)

So yeah, it reminds me of Farscape. The characters aren't quite as interesting (being boring humans for one), but on the plus side, no filler episodes. TV is just better about that now. I'll be keeping a lookout for S2.

Ford was always more of an action hero than an actor.

Watch Killjoy, same network, same country but a a better look.  And a killer lead:

The shows follow a trio of bounty hunter operating from their ship, Lucy.  They'll graudally find themselves embroiled in the politics of their sector, despite their best intent.

I am looking forward to season 2 for both Dark Matter and Killjoy  :)

Darth Wagtaros

They should just remake Blake's 7.

I liked both of these shows, now looking forward to season 2. Sci-Fi channel - I felt they were in kind of a slump for a while regarding sci-fi shows but have come back over the past couple of years with some good new shows.

Rewatched JFK, which used to be one of my favorite films back in the 90s. The whole conspiracy theory angle hasn't aged well, particularly in this day and age of History Channel and the Internet were stuff like that is plucked down from anywhere, but damn is the film still excellently edited.

The frantic pace (despite it being a 3,5 hour film), the variety of sources, the flashbacks-within-flashbacks-within flashbacks, the use of not only video but sound and music... it's pure editing porn. And that's from an era without digital editing. Yes, it's manipulative and slightly cheesy, but few have been better at it IMHO.

Back and to the left...back and to the left...back and to the left...

I remember that at the end of the film they said in which year the sealed documents from the investigation would be made available to the public. When was that?

And here it is! Star Wars Rogue One teaser.

Looks almost as fanservicey as The Force Awakens, but what the hell, take my money already.

I'm only worried that I'm really not that interested to see a story that I already know the ending of (they will rob the plans and the Death Star will be destroyed). TFA had that big hook of wondering how the story would continue, and I'm massively looking forward to Ep 8 for the same reason.

Maybe the Death Star becomes sentient and decides not to do some petty Sithlord's bidding.  :hmm:

Not on Netflix.

Running out of new material there. I've started watching Marty's cartoon about ISIS members.
